Receive the text

When I have a bet, I send you a text: the horse, the race, the price, a few words on why we like it, and the terms – the stake the winnings are based on. Typical terms are 20, 10 each-way, 40, 50 or 100.

Place the bet

If you want to be involved in that horse, you text back to say yes. Every bet is your choice. You place the bet at the stake in the alert, at the best odds quoted at that time. I hate losers, and you probably do too, so I only give you a selection when I think it has a real chance. If it loses, you lose your stake, as with any bet, and you owe us nothing.

2 second step
The winnings

If it wins, the bookmaker pays the winnings, not you: you keep your stake and send us the winnings once the bookmaker has paid you. The amount is based on the winnings from the price you actually obtained, and we don’t chase small differences. Once your account is settled you are eligible for further selections. This part is all about trust. Not every selection wins: about a third of ours have won over the last four years. Only bet what you can afford to lose.
